 Haiku poem Video Art.

“Brilliant moon,

Is it true that you too

Must pass in a hurry”  Basho

I wanted to represent two of the most important things for me: the discoveries and the Music.

In this video, I got an internet video of the moon. I cut it into 3-4 parts and use it as the background for some of my recorders.

I started the video with the sequences of a cake that I cooked previously, I changed the colors with lumetri color effects and I used the turbulence displace effect to simulate movement. I want to get the moon superfine with it. The next scene follows with the turbulence displacement effect in a square of a recorded orange. I changed the saturation, colors until getting the final result with the electric glow shape in the circles to convey what the craters of the moon have.

I linked the romantic idea about the moon and dreams in the haiku “ Brilliant moon,….” with the next videos. They represent Music.

The next 2 videos are a record of my favorite songwriter track-list. I took one of the stages when the gig is finished, every time that I go to listen to him. The Music is sometimes most important for me than the O2, then the haiku “thank you for sharing…” are my own words to say thank you to so many musicians around the world.

My own black fedora hat the arrows and the draws of Leonardo Da Vinci in my diary convey the direction to carry on within my dreams and challenges same that the recorded video of my heater.

I have recorded sounds by myself using the micros with a big potential amplitude and then I dumped them into the Audition software mixing and repeating some of them getting weird effects with distortions and Ecos. The voice of the female saying "look at the moon" and the laughs are mine. I spread the micro on the different superfices and I changed the speed of the wave sounds to get that space sound. I recorder water, the sounds of my keys the sound of plastic, and mixed together getting a weird sound to involve the audience in a mysterious world.

I show you below some of the original records that I have used to create the video art. I did not follow any rule, just a continuity as I have learned in the subject of Media Technologies as a video editing process to get the audience to involve in your project. I just started to record in a random way up-down- left-right. I wanted to figure out what I felt or what emotion provoked in me those records.

Tracklist notes of my favorite songwriter hold on the wall. A warm sensation, I felt at home.

Orange´s record. I like the brilliant color of the orange and the shadows in the holes.

Heater´s record. I like the waves and shadows that I have got recording the heator up to down.

Lamp´s record. I wanted to convey the end of the video turning off the lamp coming from the colors to the black, the darkness.

I share below son screenshots of the post-production of the video art.

As you can see, I used different effects in After Effects to get those colors, waves, changes of position, scales, and backgrounds.
